Vehicle Information
Honda Super Hawk 1000 Motorcycle - Street (1998-2005)
The Honda Super Hawk 1000, known as the VTR1000F Firestorm in other markets, is a popular sportbike produced from 1998 to 2005. It features a robust 996cc liquid-cooled, 90-degree V-twin engine, renowned for its strong torque and distinctive sound. This DOHC engine, fed by two 48mm CV carburetors, delivered impressive performance for its era, with horsepower figures ranging from 93 ps in early models to around 110 hp in later years. Throughout its production run from 1998 to 2005, the Super Hawk 1000 was offered as a single model in the US market, without distinct trim levels. While the core engine platform remained consistent, a notable mid-cycle update occurred in 2001. This update brought internal modifications to the front forks, black-finished wheels, smaller indicator lights, and a new LCD dash display with a fuel gauge. Ergonomics were also refined with slightly raked handlebars for a less extreme riding position. It is important to note that while the European Firestorm received a larger 19-liter fuel tank, the US-market Super Hawk retained its original 16-liter capacity for all model years. FAQ:
