Vehicle Information
Honda TL125 Motorcycle - Dual-Sport (1973-1976)
The Honda TL125, produced from 1973 to 1976, is a lightweight four-stroke trials motorcycle renowned for its balance, traction, and precise low-speed control. Originally known as the "Bials" in Japan, it quickly gained popularity for trials riding. All models in this range were equipped with an air-cooled, single-cylinder, OHC, two-valve engine, paired with a 5-speed constant mesh transmission and a 20mm Keihin roundslide carburetor, ensuring reliable performance for its intended use. While the TL125 saw minor updates throughout its production, the most significant change occurred in 1976. Models from 1973 to 1975 featured a 122 cc engine with a one-piece cylinder head. The 1976 TL125 S model, however, received an updated 124 cc engine with a bore increase of 0.5 mm and a new two-piece cylinder head design, where the camshaft was positioned between the two sections. Other minor revisions included different right engine covers in 1974 and new Showa front forks in 1975. Q: Does this part fit my Honda TL125?

Maintenance
| Component | Interval | Details |
| Engine Oil | Every 2,400 km | The oil sump, common to both engine and gearbox, holds 1 liter of 10W40 oil. Check the level with the dipstick inserted without screwing the cap down. |
| Oil Filter | Every 9,600 km | Clean the filter. The 1976 manual also lists cleaning of the oil filter and oil filter rotor. |
| Drive Chain | Every 2,400 km | Adjust and lubricate. Rear chain slack should be checked with the rear suspension compressed and should amount to approximately 13 mm of up and down movement. |
| Spark Plug | Replace every 9,600 km | Clean and reset gap to 0.65 mm. Recommended type: NGK D8 ESL. |
| Air Filter | Clean the filter element. If it's a paper type, it should be changed. |
