Vehicle Information
Arctic Cat Bearcat 454 ATV (1996-1998)
The Arctic Cat Bearcat 454, produced from 1996 to 1998, was a pioneering model for the brand. In 1996, it marked the introduction of Arctic Cat's first 4x4 ATV, powered by a consistent 454cc (sometimes listed as 452cc) liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, single-cylinder engine engineered by Suzuki, producing approximately 28 hp. This engine remained consistent throughout this period. While the core 454cc engine remained consistent, refinements and new trims were introduced. The 1996 model was a 4x4 with a 5-speed manual transmission and high/low range. In 1997, a 2x4 version was launched, sharing the same engine and semi-independent rear suspension, but with a 5-speed auto-clutch transmission without high/low range. The 1998 model brought significant improvements, including lighter steering, a better turning radius, and an improved self-priming carburetor, addressing some user complaints from 1997. How can I ensure parts are compatible with my Arctic Cat Bearcat 454?
To guarantee compatibility, please use the year and trim selector at the top of the page to find parts specific to your model.
