Vehicle Information
Can-Am Defender Max HD7 Side-by-Side (2022-2026)
The Can-Am Defender Max HD7 (2022-2026) is a robust six-seater utility side-by-side, engineered for demanding tasks and adventurous outings. It is consistently powered by a liquid-cooled Rotax ACE 650cc single-cylinder engine, delivering a reliable 52 horsepower and approximately 41-42 lb-ft of torque. Power is efficiently managed through a pDrive primary CVT, featuring engine braking and Electronic Drive Belt Protection for enhanced control and durability. The HD7 engine itself was a significant introduction for the 2022 model year, replacing the previous HD5. Throughout its production from 2022 to 2026, the Defender Max HD7 has primarily been offered in two main trims: the standard Defender MAX HD7 and the Defender MAX DPS HD7. The DPS trim notably adds Dynamic Power Steering (DPS) for improved maneuverability, along with 14-inch cast-aluminum wheels and 27-inch XPS Trail King or Trail Force tires. For 2025, all Defender models, including the HD7, received an adjustable electronic speed limiter, a useful feature for various work applications. The 2026 model largely carries over from 2025, with no significant changes noted. FAQ:
