Vehicle Information
Arctic Cat Mountain Cat 500 Snowmobile (2001-2002)
The Arctic Cat Mountain Cat 500, available for the 2001 and 2002 model years, was a robust snowmobile designed for mountain riding. It featured a reliable 497cc liquid-cooled twin engine, known for its responsive and dependable power delivery. The 2001 model was specifically designated as the Mountain Cat 500 EFI, indicating Electronic Fuel Injection, which was a key feature for consistent performance in varying conditions. Between 2001 and 2002, the core engine specifications remained largely consistent, with no significant engine or generational overhauls. While the 2001 model explicitly featured EFI, the 2002 model, generally referred to as the Mountain Cat 500, also predominantly used EFI. Updates for 2002 focused on rider ergonomics, introducing high mountain handlebars and wider running boards for improved control and grip, rather than major platform changes. Q: How do I ensure I select the correct parts for my Arctic Cat Mountain Cat 500?
A: To guarantee compatibility, please use the year and edition selector at the top of this page. This will filter parts specifically for your 2001 or 2002 model.
