Vehicle Information
Ski-Doo Grand Touring 580 Snowmobile (1993-1999)
The Ski-Doo Grand Touring 580, produced from 1993 to 1999, was a popular touring snowmobile known for its comfort and reliability. It was powered by a liquid-cooled Rotax twin-cylinder engine, consistently around 580.7cc, often marketed as 580cc, 581cc, or 583cc. This engine, praised for its smooth power delivery, typically produced 64-65 hp in early 580/581cc variants (1993-1994) and 90-105 hp in later 583cc versions (1995-1999), though Grand Touring models were often tuned for touring comfort. While the core 581cc Rotax engine remained consistent, a notable evolution occurred around 1995. The model designation shifted more consistently to “Grand Touring 583,” and some models benefited from a new lightweight aluminum chassis and advanced suspensions like DSA and C-7, enhancing ride comfort and handling. Trims like the SE offered additional luxury features throughout the years. FAQ:
