Vehicle Information
Honda TRX250X ATV (1986-2026)
The Honda TRX250X is an iconic sport ATV, renowned for its durability and reliability, spanning a long production period from 1986 to 2026. It has evolved to offer an accessible recreational and sport riding experience for a wide range of riders. Its history is marked by a significant generational shift in its design. Models from 1986 to 1989, known as the TRX250R, were high-performance sport ATVs powered by a 246cc liquid-cooled two-stroke engine. After a brief hiatus, the lineage resumed in 1991 with the TRX250X, then the TRX250EX, and later reverted to TRX250X. These subsequent models, from 1991 to 2026, feature air-cooled four-stroke engines, initially a 246.4cc OHC, then a 229cc OHV from 2001 onwards. Models equipped with the 229cc engine incorporate Honda's SportClutch, providing a manual shifting experience without stalling, suitable for both beginners and experienced riders.
