Vehicle Information
Honda XR250L Motorcycle - Dual-Sport (1991-1996)
The Honda XR250L, produced from 1991 to 1996, was a street-legal dual-sport motorcycle derived from the off-road XR250R. It featured a 249 cc air-cooled, dry-sump, single-cylinder, four-stroke engine with a Single Overhead Camshaft (SOHC) and four valves. This engine delivered approximately 25–30 horsepower, with a bore and stroke of 73 x 59.5 mm and a 9.3:1 compression ratio. Fuel was supplied by a 30mm Keihin carburetor. Throughout its production, the XR250L was offered as a single, dedicated dual-sport model. While sharing its core engine with the XR250R, the XR250L included specific modifications for its dual-sport role, such as a taller final drive ratio and a 428-series O-ring chain. Minor cosmetic updates, like redesigned graphics, occurred across model years. The XR250L maintained a disc-only brake configuration (240 mm front, 220 mm rear) and a 43 mm telescopic fork with 25.9 cm of travel, paired with a Pro-Link rear shock. The XR250L was discontinued after 1996 and did not incorporate the major redesign applied to the off-road XR250R in 1996. Q: How can I ensure this part fits my Honda XR250L?
A: Use our year and edition selector at the top of the page to confirm compatibility.
