Vehicle Information
BETA RS 520 Motorcycle - Dual-Sport (2011-2014)
The BETA RS 520, a dual-sport motorcycle produced from 2011 to 2014, is powered by a liquid-cooled, DOHC, four-stroke, single-cylinder engine of approximately 497.4 to 497.9 cc, fed by a Keihin FCR 39mm carburetor. The 2011 model year represented a significant shift, introducing Beta's own designed and manufactured engine, replacing previous KTM-sourced units, and featuring a 45mm Marzocchi fork. The range included the standard RS 520 and a Supermoto (RS-SM) variant for 2011-2012.
Subsequent years brought continuous improvements, including engine updates in 2012 and 2013, and a transition to a 48mm Sachs fork in 2013. The 2014 model was entirely redesigned, focusing on weight reduction, improved ergonomics, and enhanced handling. It featured a new chassis, a revised swingarm, new wheels and brakes, and a decompression system for easier starting. A Trail Tech Voyager GPS was also included as standard equipment. FAQ
