Vehicle Information
BMW K1200S Motorcycle - Street (2005-2008)
The BMW K1200S, produced from 2005 to 2008, was a high-performance sport-touring motorcycle known for its innovative engineering. Powered by a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, in-line four-cylinder 1157 cc engine, it delivered 167 horsepower (121 kW) and 129 Nm of torque. Primarily offered as a single fully-faired supersport model, it did not feature distinct "trims" in the traditional sense, but optional features like Electronic Suspension Adjustment (ESA) and factory luggage were available. Throughout its production run, the K1200S received several refinements. Early 2005 models saw their fuel delivery and throttle response optimized through software updates. The power-assisted ABS braking system on 2005-2006 models was replaced by a non-power-assisted ABS system from 2007 onwards. Shifting also became smoother and quieter on later models. Minor recalls were issued for issues such as condensation in the oil tank. The K1200S was eventually replaced by the K1300S in 2009. FAQ:
