Vehicle Information
Kawasaki Voyager 1300 Motorcycle - Street (1979-1988)
The Kawasaki Voyager 1300, produced from 1979 to 1988, was a pioneering touring motorcycle known for its powerful 1286 cc liquid-cooled, in-line six-cylinder engine. Initially launched as the Z1300/KZ1300 with carburetors, it delivered around 120 horsepower. A significant evolution occurred in 1983/1984 with the introduction of electronic fuel injection (DFI), boosting power to approximately 130 horsepower for the ZN1300 Voyager. This period also saw the debut of the dedicated "Voyager" touring trim, a fully equipped machine featuring a fairing, panniers, a top box, and advanced electronics, transforming the Z1300 into a luxurious long-distance cruiser. While the Z1300 series continued until 1989, the 1300cc six-cylinder Voyager model was succeeded by the ZG1200 Voyager (a 4-cylinder model) in 1986, marking the end of this specific six-cylinder touring variant.
