Vehicle Information
Yamaha FZR600 Motorcycle - Street (1989-1992)
The Yamaha FZR600, produced from 1989 to 1992, is a sport motorcycle known for its liquid-cooled, 599 cc inline four-cylinder engine. It maintained consistent core specifications during this period, offering approximately 91 horsepower. The primary model was simply known as the FZR600 or FZR600 Genesis. While the steel-framed '3HE' remained largely consistent, minor revisions were implemented. In 1990, the rear wheel width increased to 4 inches. For 1991-1992, the FZR600 adopted a single "Trapezoidal" headlight design and a slightly wider swingarm. Some versions, particularly for North American and European markets, featured Yamaha's EXUP system to optimize mid-range power. A Vance & Hines special edition, with distinctive paint and a V&H exhaust, was offered in 1992. FAQ:
