Vehicle Information
KTM 990 Super Duke Motorcycle - Street (2005-2011)
The KTM 990 Super Duke, produced from 2005 to 2011, is a high-performance naked motorcycle known for its aggressive styling and potent 999 cc liquid-cooled, 75° V-twin engine. This period saw the evolution of the standard 990 Super Duke and the introduction of the more track-focused 990 Super Duke R. A significant update occurred in 2007 for the standard model, enhancing its electronic fuel injection for smoother power delivery and increasing fuel tank capacity from 15 to 18.5 litres. Front brakes were upgraded to radial-mounted calipers, and aesthetic changes were made to the instrument cluster, headlight, and tank fairings. The 990 Super Duke R, introduced in 2007 or 2008, offered increased power (132 hp vs 120 hp), Akrapovič exhaust headers, uprated WP suspension with a linear steering damper, and a distinctive orange frame. These changes represent distinct evolutions within the 2005-2011 production run. FAQ:
