The Polaris SL 650 personal watercraft, produced from 1992 to 1995, was a popular model in its category. It featured a consistent 647cc, 3-cylinder Fuji engine throughout its production run. While no major "generation" changes occurred, several notable modifications were implemented. Engine horsepower increased from 65 HP in 1992-1993 to 68 HP in 1994-1995. The 1992 and 1993 models utilized a first-generation jet pump with a 146mm impeller diameter. Fuel system updates also took place, including a transition from flexible fuel lines to a one-piece metal pickup assembly in 1995, and the introduction of a fuel flow restrictor in the return line to boost carburetor pressure from 1994 (and potentially some 1993 models).
