Vehicle Information
Honda Z50R Dirt Bike (1979-1999)
The Honda Z50R, produced from 1979 to 1999, was a highly popular minibike that evolved from a leisure-oriented model into a capable mini-motocross machine. Throughout its two-decade production, the Z50R maintained a consistent core engine: a 49cc air-cooled, 4-stroke, single-cylinder OHC unit, typically producing around 3 horsepower. This engine, introduced in 1979, replaced the older OHV design found in previous Z50 models. Transmission was generally a 3-speed semi-automatic, with some later models offering a manual clutch. While the Z50R primarily existed as a single model with annual cosmetic updates, a significant mechanical change occurred in 1988 with the switch from point ignition to CDI ignition. Additionally, a notable "Special Edition" called the Z50RD was offered in 1986, featuring distinctive chrome finishes, red grips, and a red seat. Other variations were mainly color schemes and minor component updates. Q: Will this part fit my Honda Z50R?
