Vehicle Information
Yamaha Road Star 1700 Motorcycle - Street (2002-2014)
The Yamaha Road Star 1700, produced from 2002 to 2014, is a classic cruiser known for its powerful 1670cc (102 cubic inch) air-cooled V-twin engine. This robust motorcycle was offered in various trims, including the Standard, touring-oriented Silverado, blacked-out Midnight, and the chrome-accented S models. The performance-focused Road Star Warrior, while sharing the 1700cc engine, featured a distinct aluminum frame and sportbike-derived components. Within its production run, the Road Star 1700 saw two key updates. In 2004, the engine displacement increased from 1602cc to 1670cc, accompanied by new tubeless aluminum wheels and a slimmer belt drive. A more significant change occurred in 2008 with the introduction of electronic fuel injection (EFI), replacing the carburetor system for improved throttle response and fuel efficiency. Note that the Road Star Warrior was fuel-injected from its 2002 debut. FAQ:
