Yamaha YFZ450 ATV (2004-2026)
The Yamaha YFZ450 has been a prominent sport ATV from 2004 to 2026. It features a consistent 449cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC, 4-stroke engine with 5 titanium valves, delivering robust performance throughout its production run. A significant evolution occurred around 2009. Early YFZ450 models (2004-2008) were carbureted (Keihin) with an 11.4:1 compression ratio and a lightweight steel frame. From 2009 onwards, the YFZ450R introduced electronic fuel injection (YFI) and an 11.8:1 compression ratio, alongside a redesigned cast aluminum/steel hybrid chassis and an assist and slipper clutch.
