Vehicle Information
KTM XC 525 ATV (2008-2010)
The KTM XC 525, produced from 2008 to 2010, was a high-performance ATV designed for cross-country racing and demanding off-road use. It featured a robust, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, SOHC, 4-valve engine with a displacement of 510.4 cc, delivering an estimated 45-50 horsepower. The ATV was equipped with race-ready components, including a chromoly steel frame and Öhlins fully adjustable suspension. Throughout its production from 2008 to 2010, the XC 525 was offered in a single "XC" trim. There were no major mid-cycle generation or significant engine changes during this period. However, the 2009 model year introduced minor updates, such as a redesigned seat cover and 13 modifications to the suspension, including new valving and increased shaft travel, resulting in improved handling and a slightly lower ride. Issues with rear brake calipers were also addressed in 2009. The core engine and chassis design remained consistent, utilizing a Keihin FCR-MX 39mm carburetor. FAQ:
