Totally sealed once activated, the gas recombination technology allows no maintenance, and does not require any water refilling.

The BMW K1200R, produced from 2005 to 2008, is a naked supersport motorcycle known for its powerful engine and aggressive styling. It is powered by a liquid-cooled, DOHC, 16-valve, transverse inline-four engine with a displacement of 1157cc. This engine produces between 161 and 163 horsepower and 127 Nm of torque, featuring a high compression ratio of 13.0:1. While there were no major generation changes for the K1200R between 2005 and 2008, a K1200R Sport version was introduced in 2007. This model was essentially the same as the standard version but added a small half-fairing. Refinements included engine management software updates and a redesigned clutch basket for 2007 and 2008 models.
