All models during this period were powered by a 339cc or 340cc fan-cooled twin-cylinder engine, offering reliable and approachable power. While the core engine remained consistent, Polaris introduced a notable refinement in 1993 with the adoption of a chaincase drive system, which optimized both acceleration and fuel efficiency. This update also included a longer 121-inch track.
