The Ski-Doo Legend 800, produced from 2002 to 2009, is a versatile snowmobile known for its comfort and reliability. Initially equipped with a 799cc 2-stroke Rotax engine, it offered a smooth ride and confident acceleration. A notable evolution occurred in 2003 with the introduction of SDI (Semi-Direct Injection) technology on the 2-stroke engine, enhancing efficiency. The most significant change came in 2007 when the Legend 800 transitioned from its 2-stroke engine to the new 4-TEC V-800. This 799.9cc fuel-injected 4-stroke V-twin engine, producing approximately 65 horsepower, marked a shift towards a more low-maintenance and fuel-efficient powertrain, ideal for casual snowmobilers.
