Yamaha VK Professional 1000 Snowmobile (2006-2007)
The Yamaha VK Professional 1000, a robust utility snowmobile, was available for the 2006 and 2007 model years. Designed for demanding tasks, it featured a powerful 973cc, 4-stroke, DOHC, liquid-cooled, 3-cylinder engine, known as the Genesis 120, consistently producing 120 horsepower at 8500 rpm across both years. It was offered in a single "VK Professional" trim. A notable change occurred between these model years. While the engine remained identical, the 2007 VK Professional 1000 introduced a new 2-speed (Hi/Lo) gear case with reverse, significantly enhancing its capability for heavy loads and improving top speed.
