Comet's 8-inch 108 EXP is designed for high horsepower applications up to 150 HP which exceeds the limits of the well-known 7.5 inch Comet 102C. Specifications on the EXP are the same as the familiar 108C. Comet's open faced design has delivered unsurpassed reliability, easy servicing and unlimited tuning capabilities for decades on both stock sleds and on mods. The EXP will handle engagement speeds up to 5000 RPM.

Arctic Cat Mountain Cat 1000 Snowmobile (2001-2002)
The Arctic Cat Mountain Cat 1000, available for the 2001 and 2002 model years, is a powerful mountain snowmobile. It features a 999cc, liquid-cooled, triple-cylinder, two-stroke engine produced by Suzuki, equipped with a counterbalance. The 2001 model was rated at 172 horsepower, and the 2002 model, utilizing the same engine, offered comparable output. For these years, the Mountain Cat 1000 was the primary model, with no specific sub-trims mentioned. Significant improvements were introduced in 2001, including new "Mountain Cat" powder models, an aggressive 39-inch (99 cm) ski stance, AWS 5 double wishbone front suspension, and a FastTrack long travel rear suspension system. Wider footholds on the running boards, a mountain-tapered tunnel, a newly shaped 12-gallon (45-liter) gas tank, and a riser block handlebar mount enhanced ergonomics.
