Vehicle Information
Ski-Doo Grand Touring 1000 Snowmobile (2002-2003)
The 2002-2003 Ski-Doo Grand Touring 1000 is a touring snowmobile powered by the Rotax V-1000 engine. This 989cc liquid-cooled V-twin engine produces 82 horsepower and features an Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) system with four valves per cylinder. The 2003 model, primarily offered as the Grand Touring V1000 Sport, marked the introduction of this notable engine for the Grand Touring lineup. While 2003 saw the introduction of the REV chassis for many Ski-Doo models, a major innovation with its "rider-forward" geometry, it is not explicitly confirmed that the Grand Touring 1000 adopted it in its inaugural year. The 2002 model, though listed in parts catalogs, was less widely available or introduced late in the model year. Q: Is this product compatible with my Ski-Doo Grand Touring 1000?
R: To ensure perfect compatibility, please use our year and model selector at the top of the page.
Maintenance
| Component | Interval | Details |
| Drive Belt | 50 hours or as needed | Visually inspect before each ride for wear, cracks, or flat spots. Replace if worn, typically between 2,400 km and 4,800 km. It is recommended to start each season with a fresh drive belt. |
| Spark Plug | Annually or as needed | Inspect, clean, and replace if necessary. The spark plug gap should be 0.51 mm. |
| Air Filter | As needed | Clean the air filter and ensure the inside of the air silencer is clean and dry before reinstalling. |
| Coolant | Every 2 years | Inspect the cooling system and replace the coolant. Check the coolant level before each ride when the engine is cold. |
