The Argo HuntMaster, an all-terrain amphibious XTV, was introduced for the 2017 model year as part of the new Wilderness Series. For the 2016-2017 period, the HuntMaster was exclusively available from 2017, as no distinct 2016 model was produced. It was powered by a robust Kohler Aegis ELH775 V-twin four-cycle engine, delivering 30 hp from its 747cc displacement, featuring liquid cooling and electronic fuel injection (EFI). The 2017 HuntMaster models, including trims like the Avenger 8x8 Hunt Master, Hunt Master Z, Hunt Master X, and Hunt Master ZX, brought significant innovations. Key upgrades included the Lite-Steer (LS) Transmission for smoother steering, heavy-duty axles and sprockets for enhanced durability, and reversible, offset steel rims simplifying track installation. Customers could also choose between standard, high torque, or high-speed transmission options.
