Vehicle Information
Can-Am Outlander Max 500 ATV (2007-2026)
The Can-Am Outlander Max 500 is a versatile two-up utility ATV produced from 2007 to 2026. Initially, models from 2007 to 2022 were powered by a 499.6cc (often rounded to 500cc) liquid-cooled Rotax V-twin engine. Throughout these years, various trims were offered, including the standard MAX HO EFI and the more equipped MAX HO EFI XT, which often featured aluminum wheels and a winch. Dynamic Power Steering (DPS) became a prominent feature in later years, around 2012-2013. A significant evolution occurred from the 2023.5 model year onwards, when the Outlander Max 500 adopted an all-new 650cc single-cylinder Rotax ACE engine, despite retaining the "500" designation. This new engine, designed for improved efficiency and durability, is paired with an enhanced pDrive CVT transmission and features an optimized design for rider comfort. Trims like the MAX DPS 500 continue to be offered with this updated powertrain. FAQ:
