Yamaha Sidewinder XTX 1000 Snowmobile (2017-2025)
The Yamaha Sidewinder XTX 1000, produced from 2017 to 2025, is a high-performance crossover snowmobile renowned for its powerful 998cc turbocharged Genesis engine. This four-stroke, three-cylinder unit, equipped with electronic fuel injection, consistently delivers over 180 horsepower, with independent tests often showing more than 200 hp. Its design ensures quick response and minimal turbo lag. Throughout its production run, the Sidewinder XTX 1000 saw several key enhancements. Initially, models like the X-TX SE and LE featured a 141-inch track. A significant update occurred in 2020, with X-TX models upgrading to a 146-inch track for improved flotation, and the LE trim receiving advanced ARCS front and VersAttak rear suspensions. Further refinements included new clutch calibrations, handlebar controls, and suspension upgrades with Fox iQS/QS3 shocks in later years. For 2025, the X-TX LE introduced Electric Power Steering (EPS), marking a notable evolution in rider comfort and control. These changes, while not altering the core engine platform, represent distinct advancements in chassis and features. FAQ:
