Vehicle Information
Kawasaki AR50 Motorcycle - Street (1982)
The 1982 Kawasaki AR50, known as the AR50 A1, was a 49 cc air-cooled two-stroke moped. Designed primarily for the European learner rider market, it featured a compact single-cylinder engine with reed valve induction. This debut model came equipped with a basic fairing, a hydraulic disc front brake, and a drum rear brake. Unrestricted versions could produce around 10.2 hp, while restricted European variants were limited to about 2.9 hp to comply with regulations. The AR50 A1 was introduced in 1982. While mechanically similar, significant cosmetic updates began in 1983 with the "C" designation models, which featured a sports handlebar fairing and a rear grab-handle. Throughout its early production, the AR50 received minor refinements for reliability and aesthetics, such as improved decals and subtle suspension tweaks. No major engine changes occurred; power output variations were mainly due to market-specific restrictions. Q: Is this part compatible with my 1982 Kawasaki AR50?
