Vehicle Information
Kawasaki KH500 Motorcycle - Street (1976)
The 1976 Kawasaki KH500, also known as the KH500-A8, is an iconic motorcycle powered by a two-stroke, transverse three-cylinder, piston-valve engine with a displacement of 498 cc. This engine produced 52 hp at 8000 rpm. The 1976 model represented a significant mid-cycle generation change from its H1 series predecessor, largely driven by new anti-pollution standards and the oil crisis. The engine was "milder," producing 52 hp, down from the H1's 60 hp, with modified mufflers and air cleaner. The chassis was reinforced with gussets for improved rigidity, the front fork angle was increased, and the engine was rotated forward slightly to enhance handling. The braking system was upgraded with a front disc brake. Other updates included a three-way fuse system, a locking tank cap, and a "1 down" gearbox shift pattern. Available colors were Burgundy and Copper. Q: How can I ensure this part fits my 1976 Kawasaki KH500?
