Vehicle Information
Kawasaki Vulcan 700 Motorcycle - Street (1985)
The 1985 Kawasaki Vulcan 700, officially designated VN700A1, was a distinctive cruiser motorcycle primarily developed for the U.S. market. This model featured a liquid-cooled, 699cc V2 engine, producing 66 horsepower. Its introduction was influenced by specific tariff restrictions on imported Japanese motorcycles over 700cc at the time. The 1985 Vulcan 700 was a unique, single-year model. Due to the aforementioned tariffs, its engine displacement was precisely limited to 699cc. When these restrictions were lifted in 1986, Kawasaki promptly increased the engine size to 750cc, rebranding the model as the Vulcan 750 (VN750). This marked a significant engine and model designation change, making the 700cc version exclusive to 1985. Q: Will parts for other Vulcan models fit my 1985 Vulcan 700?
A: To ensure perfect compatibility, please use our year and model selector to find parts specifically designed for your 1985 Kawasaki Vulcan 700.
