Vehicle Information
KTM 1190 Adventure Motorcycle - Dual-Sport (2013-2017)
The KTM 1190 Adventure, produced from 2013 to 2016, established itself as a formidable adventure touring motorcycle. Powered by a robust 1195 cc liquid-cooled V-twin engine, derived from the LC8 platform, it delivered 148 to 150 hp and 125 Nm of torque. This model was designed for both on-road performance and off-road capability. Two main trims were available: the standard 1190 Adventure, focused on road use with 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels, and the more off-road oriented 1190 Adventure R. The R model featured a 21-inch front wheel, 18-inch rear wheel, increased suspension travel, and manually adjustable WP suspension, distinguishing it from the standard model's optional electronic suspension. A notable technological advancement occurred in 2014 with the introduction of an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU). This brought lean-angle-sensitive Cornering ABS and Multi-mode Traction Control (MTC) as standard, significantly enhancing safety and rider aids. The core engine design remained consistent throughout its production run, with no major engine generation breaks. The 1190 Adventure was replaced in the 2017 lineup by newer models. FAQ:
