Vehicle Information
KTM 500 MX Dirt Bike (1985-1993)
The KTM 500 MX series, produced from 1985 to 1993, represents a line of powerful two-stroke motocross motorcycles. Known for their robust performance, these models featured liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engines designed for competitive off-road riding. Throughout its production, the 500 MX underwent significant refinements. Initially, models like the 1985-1988 versions featured a 485cc engine, with notable chassis and suspension upgrades in 1985 (inverted WP fork, front disc brake), 1986 (rear disc brake, new shock linkage), and 1987 (new frame, WP 4054 forks, 59 HP engine). From 1989 onwards, the engine displacement increased to approximately 498cc, boosting horsepower to 65 HP, alongside a longer stroke motor. Trims generally included "MX" and "MXC" (Motocross Country). Q: How do I find the right parts for my KTM 500 MX?
