Vehicle Information
Polaris Sportsman Touring 850 ATV (2010-2026)
The Polaris Sportsman Touring 850, available from 2010 to 2026, is a robust all-terrain vehicle designed for two riders, known for its powerful performance and comfortable touring capabilities. It consistently features an 850cc liquid-cooled twin-cylinder engine with Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI), forming the core of its reliable powertrain. Over its production run, the Sportsman Touring 850 has seen significant evolution. The 2010 model introduced a major redesign, featuring a new tubular frame and engine configuration that allowed for a narrower vehicle, wider floorboards, and a lower center of gravity, enhancing rider comfort and handling. While the 850cc displacement remained constant, horsepower increased from 77 hp (2010-2013 models) to 78 hp starting around 2015, with the "ProStar" engine designation becoming prominent. Trims like EPS, H.O., LE, SP, and Premium have offered varying feature sets, including advanced technologies such as Active Descent Control (ADC), Engine Braking System (EBS), and Electronic Power Steering (EPS), with later models (2025-2026) integrating features like LED lighting and enhanced storage.
