Triumph Trident 750 Motorcycle - Street (1969-1998)
The Triumph Trident 750 is an iconic motorcycle produced in two distinct generations between 1969 and 1998. The first generation, manufactured in Meriden from 1969 to 1975, included the T150 and T160 models, powered by a 741cc air-cooled OHV three-cylinder engine. After a hiatus, the Trident name was revived by Triumph Hinckley from 1991 to 1998 with a completely redesigned motorcycle, featuring a 749cc liquid-cooled DOHC three-cylinder engine. The Meriden models evolved from the T150 (initially with a 4-speed gearbox and drum brakes) to the T150V (which standardized the 5-speed gearbox) and the T160 (characterized by forward-leaning cylinders, an electric starter, and front and rear disc brakes). The Hinckley generation, on the other hand, introduced a modular engine architecture, a 6-speed gearbox, and dual disc brakes at the front, marking a complete technological break from its predecessors. There was no Trident 750 production between 1976 and 1990. FAQ:
