Vehicle Information
Yamaha YZ426F Dirt Bike (2000-2002)
The Yamaha YZ426F, produced from 2000 to 2002, was a highly regarded motocross motorcycle known for its powerful 426cc single-cylinder, four-stroke engine. Featuring a DOHC 5-valve design, water-cooling, and a kick starter, it quickly became a dominant force on the track. Throughout its production, the YZ426F was generally offered as a single model, without distinct trim levels, but received significant annual updates. The YZ426F underwent notable evolution each year. The 2000 model saw an increased displacement to 426cc (from the YZ400F), a new heavy-duty clutch, larger radiators, and an improved chassis with an aluminum subframe. For 2001, a major upgrade was the introduction of lighter titanium valves, alongside a redesigned exhaust, refined carburetor settings, and updates to the front brake and suspension. The 2002 model, while anticipating a new generation, received minor but impactful updates, including a new, lighter swingarm, revised shock linkage, and updated ignition mapping. These continuous improvements ensured its competitive edge. Q: Is this product compatible with my Yamaha YZ426F?
