Vehicle Information
Yamaha V Star 1100 Motorcycle - Street (1999-2009)
The Yamaha V Star 1100, produced from 1999 to 2009, is a heavyweight cruiser renowned for its consistent design and mechanical reliability. Also known as the DragStar 1100 or XVS1100, this model maintained a single-generation platform throughout its production, featuring a robust 1,063cc air-cooled, 75-degree V-twin engine. This SOHC engine, paired with a five-speed transmission and a shaft final drive, saw no major mechanical revisions to its core components during these model years. While the engine and drivetrain remained remarkably consistent, Yamaha offered the V Star 1100 in various trims, primarily the Custom, Classic, and Silverado. The Classic, introduced in 2000, featured more rounded styling, floorboards, and extended fenders. The Silverado added touring amenities like a windscreen, sissy bar, and soft saddlebags, catering to different rider preferences. Minor updates over the years were mainly cosmetic, affecting bodywork, wheels, and handlebars, without altering the fundamental platform. FAQ:
