Vehicle Information
Harley-Davidson Fat Boy Motorcycle - Street (1990-2026)
The Harley-Davidson Fat Boy, an iconic V-twin cruiser, has captivated riders since its debut in 1990. Known for its distinctive solid disc wheels and muscular stance, it has evolved significantly over its production run from 1990 to 2026, maintaining its status as a cornerstone of the Softail family. The Fat Boy's history is marked by three distinct engine eras. From 1990 to 1999, it featured the 1,340cc Evolution engine. The Twin Cam era, spanning 2000 to 2017, saw progressive upgrades from the 1,450cc Twin Cam 88B to the 1,584cc Twin Cam 96B and finally the 1,690cc Twin Cam 103. Since 2018, the Fat Boy has been powered by the Milwaukee-Eight engine, initially available in 1,746cc (107) and 1,868cc (114) versions, with the 1,923cc (117) Custom engine becoming standard from 2025. This period also introduced a redesigned chassis and advanced rider safety features. Key trims include the original FLSTF, the lower-slung Fat Boy Lo (2010-2016), the performance-oriented Fat Boy S (2016-2017), and the current FLFB/FLFBS models, alongside special editions like the 30th Anniversary (2020) and 35th Anniversary Gray Ghost (2025). Q: How do I ensure I select the correct parts for my Fat Boy?
