Vehicle Information
Harley-Davidson Night Rod Motorcycle - Street (2006-2017)
The Harley-Davidson Night Rod, part of the VRSC (V-Rod) series, was a distinctive power cruiser produced from 2006 to 2017. It stood out from traditional Harleys with its liquid-cooled Revolution V-twin engine, developed in collaboration with Porsche, offering a modern performance-oriented experience. During its production run, the Night Rod was primarily offered in two trims: the Night Rod (VRSCD) from 2006 to 2008, and the Night Rod Special (VRSCDX) from 2007 to 2017. A significant update occurred in 2008, when the engine displacement was increased from 1130cc to 1247cc across both models, boosting horsepower. This year also saw the introduction of a slipper clutch as standard and optional ABS, which became standard by 2017. The original Night Rod (VRSCD) was discontinued after 2008, while the Night Rod Special (VRSCDX) continued with the larger engine and various styling updates until the entire V-Rod line concluded in 2017.
