Vehicle Information
Kawasaki KLX300 Motorcycle - Dual-Sport (1997-2026)
The Kawasaki KLX300, produced from 1997 to 2026, is a versatile single-cylinder motorcycle known for its off-road capabilities and later, its dual-sport and supermoto variants. Initially launched as the carbureted KLX300R (1997-1999) with a 292cc liquid-cooled engine, it was reintroduced in 2020 after a hiatus. This modern iteration, including the KLX300R, KLX300 dual-sport, and KLX300SM supermoto (all from 2021 onwards), features a fuel-injected 292cc engine and electric start. The KLX300SM, introduced in 2021, stands out with its 17-inch wheels and street-optimized suspension. While the core engine displacement remained consistent, the transition from carburetion to fuel injection in 2020 marked a significant technological update. Minor styling and graphic updates occurred in 2024, with 2025-2026 models primarily receiving new color options. Q: How do I ensure parts fit my specific KLX300 model year?
A: Always use the year and edition selector on this page to confirm compatibility for your Kawasaki KLX300 (1997-2026).
