Vehicle Information
Polaris RMK 600 Snowmobile (2004-2022)
The Polaris RMK 600, a renowned mountain snowmobile produced from 2004 to 2022, consistently featured a 599cc liquid-cooled, 2-stroke engine. Initially, models were powered by the carbureted Liberty 600 HO engine, typically producing 120 hp. Around 2007, the 600 Cleanfire engine with fuel injection was introduced, boosting output to approximately 125 hp, and eventually phased out the carbureted version around 2010. Significant chassis evolutions marked the series. Early models (2004-2006) utilized the EDGE chassis. In 2007, the IQ chassis was introduced for RMK models. The PRO-RMK trim, offering enhanced performance, appeared around 2015, coinciding with the introduction of the AXYS platform for some models. While the AXYS chassis became prevalent, the 600 RMK 144 retained AXYS features even as the MATRYX platform emerged for other RMK variants in 2022. These changes reflect Polaris's continuous efforts to improve handling and rider experience. FAQ:
