Vehicle Information
Yamaha XT660 Motorcycle - Dual-Sport (2015-2018)
The Yamaha XT660, a versatile single-cylinder motorcycle, was offered in various trims from 2015 to 2017, including the dual-sport XT660R, the supermoto XT660X, and the adventure-touring XT660Z Ténéré. All models shared a robust 660 cc liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC engine, producing 48 horsepower (35 kW) at 6,000 rpm. Throughout its production run from 2015 to 2017, the Yamaha XT660 series maintained consistent engine specifications and core platform design. No significant mid-cycle generation or engine changes were introduced during these years. The differences between the XT660R (standard dual-sport), XT660X (street-focused supermoto with 17-inch wheels), and XT660Z Ténéré (adventure-touring with a larger 23-liter fuel tank and robust chassis) were primarily trim-specific variations. Production of the XT660 series concluded in 2017, meaning no 2018 models were manufactured. FAQ:
