Vehicle Information
BMW S1000RR Motorcycle - Street (2009-2026)
The BMW S1000RR, a high-performance sportbike, has been a benchmark in the liter-bike category since its introduction in 2009. Throughout its production from 2009 to 2026, it has consistently featured a 999cc inline-four-cylinder engine, though its performance and technology have evolved significantly. The S1000RR saw its first major update in 2015 (K46 Major Update), bringing increased horsepower, a lighter chassis, and advanced electronics like optional semi-active DDC suspension. A full model change occurred in 2019 (K67), introducing an entirely new engine with ShiftCam technology, a redesigned "Flex Frame" chassis, and a comprehensive suite of rider aids with a full TFT display. Subsequent updates in 2023 and 2025 refined aerodynamics, electronics, and engine performance, with the track-focused M1000RR variant emerging from 2021 onwards. These evolutions ensure the S1000RR remains at the forefront of superbike technology. FAQ:
