Harley-Davidson Road King Motorcycle - Street (1994-2026)
The Harley-Davidson Road King, an iconic touring motorcycle, has been a staple for riders seeking classic style and long-distance comfort since its introduction in 1994. Over its production run, which concluded with the 2025 model year for some variants (no 2026 models were produced), it has undergone significant evolution. Initially powered by the Evolution 80 engine (1994-1998), it transitioned to the Twin Cam 88 (1999-2006), then the Twin Cam 96 (2007-2011) with a new 6-speed transmission, and the Twin Cam 103 (2012-2016). A major overhaul occurred in 2014 with Project Rushmore, bringing enhanced braking and suspension. From 2017, the Milwaukee-Eight 107 engine was introduced, offering improved performance, followed by the Milwaukee-Eight 114 for the Road King Special from 2019. Trims like the standard FLHR, the nostalgic Classic, and the blacked-out Special have offered diverse options. The 2025 Road King Special also received further enhancements, including Brembo components and electronic rider aids. FAQ:
