Description
The EBC Brakes CKF kit is a tough carbon fibre impregnated moto-x/ATV clutch which is longer lasting and grippier than standard cork based units (friction plates only).
Carbon fibre clutch plates are designed to handle the higher temperatures encountered in racing while being gentle enough for every day riding. Each kit is measured to the perfect stack height and should only be fitted as a whole kit. Soak clutch plates in the correct quantity of manufacturer's recommended drive case oil before installation.
Never use automatic transmission fluid. We strongly recommend that this clutch is fitted by a professionally trained mechanic. It is best to fit new clutch springs at the time of changing clutch plates due to heat fatigue of old springs. We sell a range of clutch spring sets. Before riding your motorcycle please ensure you are comfortable with the new lever force and can easily disengage the clutch with minimal hand pressure. Have an experienced rider test the machine.

Vehicle Information
Honda CR480R Dirt Bike (1982-1983)
The Honda CR480R was a prominent motocross racing motorcycle produced for the 1982 and 1983 model years. This high-performance, air-cooled, two-stroke, single-cylinder machine, displacing 472cc and delivering 51 to 52 horsepower, was designed for competitive motocross. Both years were offered as a single, dedicated racing model without distinct sub-trims, with the model year itself serving as the primary identifier. While the engine displacement remained consistent, the 1983 CR480R represented a significant evolution from the 1982 model. Key upgrades for 1983 included an improved 5-speed manual transmission (up from 4-speed), new 43mm Showa front forks, an all-new Showa rear shock with wider adjustability, and a redesigned chrome-moly steel frame. These changes resulted in a lighter and better-handling motorcycle, making the 1983 model a distinct update. Frequently Asked Questions:
