Description
The EBC Brakes CKF kit is a tough carbon fibre impregnated moto-x/ATV clutch which is longer lasting and grippier than standard cork based units (friction plates only).
Carbon fibre clutch plates are designed to handle the higher temperatures encountered in racing while being gentle enough for every day riding. Each kit is measured to the perfect stack height and should only be fitted as a whole kit. Soak clutch plates in the correct quantity of manufacturer's recommended drive case oil before installation.
Never use automatic transmission fluid. We strongly recommend that this clutch is fitted by a professionally trained mechanic. It is best to fit new clutch springs at the time of changing clutch plates due to heat fatigue of old springs. We sell a range of clutch spring sets. Before riding your motorcycle please ensure you are comfortable with the new lever force and can easily disengage the clutch with minimal hand pressure. Have an experienced rider test the machine.

Vehicle Information
Kawasaki KLX400R Dirt Bike (2002-2004)
The Kawasaki KLX400R, produced from 2002 to 2004, was a dedicated off-road motorcycle that shared many core characteristics with the Suzuki DR-Z400, essentially being a rebadged version. It was powered by a 398cc, liquid-cooled, four-stroke, single-cylinder DOHC engine with four valves, delivering approximately 40 horsepower at 8,500 rpm. Fuel was supplied by a Keihin FCR39 carburetor, and the bike featured an electric start. Throughout its 2002-2004 production run, the KLX400R maintained a high degree of consistency in its engine and core specifications. While the 2004 model incorporated some refinements to the chassis based on feedback from earlier years, there were no major mid-cycle generation or significant engine changes within this period. The 2002 model shared the same fundamental 400cc engine platform. In addition to the off-road KLX400R, a street-legal dual-sport trim, the KLX400SR, was also available, utilizing the same robust engine paired with street-compliant equipment. FAQ:
