Description
The EBC Brakes CKF kit is a tough carbon fibre impregnated moto-x/ATV clutch which is longer lasting and grippier than standard cork based units (friction plates only).
Carbon fibre clutch plates are designed to handle the higher temperatures encountered in racing while being gentle enough for every day riding. Each kit is measured to the perfect stack height and should only be fitted as a whole kit. Soak clutch plates in the correct quantity of manufacturer's recommended drive case oil before installation.
Never use automatic transmission fluid. We strongly recommend that this clutch is fitted by a professionally trained mechanic. It is best to fit new clutch springs at the time of changing clutch plates due to heat fatigue of old springs. We sell a range of clutch spring sets. Before riding your motorcycle please ensure you are comfortable with the new lever force and can easily disengage the clutch with minimal hand pressure. Have an experienced rider test the machine.

Vehicle Information
Kawasaki KLX450R Dirt Bike (2008-2021)
The Kawasaki KLX450R, produced from 2008 to 2021, is a dedicated off-road enduro motorcycle known for its robust performance and remarkable consistency. Powered by a 449cc liquid-cooled, four-stroke, single-cylinder engine, it delivered 56 horsepower and 37 lb-ft of torque, specifications that remained unchanged throughout its production run. This model was offered as a single trim, emphasizing its focused design for challenging off-road conditions. The KLX450R was initially introduced in 2008, building upon the KX450F motocross platform but with significant modifications tailored for enduro riding. These included revised camshaft profiles, more durable stainless steel exhaust valves, altered ignition mapping, a Keihin FCR 40mm carburetor, and a heavier flywheel for smoother power delivery. It also featured wider transmission ratios, an electric starter with a kick-start backup, and a larger fuel tank. After these initial adaptations, the KLX450R maintained its core design with minimal changes between 2008 and 2021, primarily limited to minor graphic updates from 2009 onwards. This consistency ensures that parts and performance characteristics are largely uniform across all model years within this range. Q: How do I ensure I'm selecting the correct parts for my KLX450R?
A: Please use the year and edition selector at the top of this page to filter for parts specifically compatible with your motorcycle.
