Description
The EBC Brakes CKF kit is a tough carbon fibre impregnated moto-x/ATV clutch which is longer lasting and grippier than standard cork based units (friction plates only).
Carbon fibre clutch plates are designed to handle the higher temperatures encountered in racing while being gentle enough for every day riding. Each kit is measured to the perfect stack height and should only be fitted as a whole kit. Soak clutch plates in the correct quantity of manufacturer's recommended drive case oil before installation.
Never use automatic transmission fluid. We strongly recommend that this clutch is fitted by a professionally trained mechanic. It is best to fit new clutch springs at the time of changing clutch plates due to heat fatigue of old springs. We sell a range of clutch spring sets. Before riding your motorcycle please ensure you are comfortable with the new lever force and can easily disengage the clutch with minimal hand pressure. Have an experienced rider test the machine.

- Include carbon fiber impregnated friction plates
- Tough clutch plates extend engine life
- Improve drive

Suzuki DR-Z250 Dirt Bike (2001-2007)
The Suzuki DR-Z250, produced from 2001 to 2007, is a versatile off-road motorcycle known for its reliable performance and consistent design. It features a robust 249cc, 4-stroke, DOHC, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine with a 4-valve Twin Swirl Combustion Chamber (TSCC) cylinder head, paired with a six-speed gearbox. This model was positioned as a capable trail bike, offering a balance of power and user-friendliness for a wide range of riders. Throughout its production run from 2001 to 2007, the DR-Z250 maintained largely consistent specifications, with no distinct trim levels or significant mid-cycle engine changes. The 2001 model introduced updates like a new suspension system, but subsequent years, such as 2005, saw no modifications to its core characteristics. Notably, this model was also sold as the Kawasaki KLX250 from 2003 to 2006, with many major parts being interchangeable due to a brand alliance. Q: How do I ensure I'm selecting the correct parts for my DR-Z250?
A: To guarantee a perfect fit, please use the year and model selector at the top of this page. This will filter products specifically compatible with your Suzuki DR-Z250 (2001-2007).
Maintenance
| Component | Interval | Details |
| Engine Oil and Oil Filter | Every 10 to 15 hours of riding | Change oil and filter. For aggressive riding, every 10 hours; for recreational riding, every 15 hours. Use high-quality oil and a new filter. |
| Spark Plug | Every 30 hours | Replace spark plug. Some manuals suggest checking every 12 hours. |
| Air Filter | Every 5 to 10 hours of riding | Clean or replace air filter. For aggressive riding, every 5 hours; for recreational riding, every 10 hours. Shorten interval in dusty or muddy conditions. |
| Coolant | Every 8,000 km or 2 years | Replace coolant. Critical for preventing overheating, especially without a radiator fan. |
