The Kawasaki KE175, a popular trail bike, was produced from 1976 to 1983. This versatile motorcycle was powered by a single-cylinder, two-stroke engine, consistently around 174-175 cc, offering a balance of performance and reliability for off-road enthusiasts. A significant change occurred in 1980 with the introduction of the D-series. Earlier B-series models (1976-1979) featured a rotary-valve engine, while the D-series (1980-1983) switched to a reed-valve piston port design, also forming the basis for the KDX175. Other updates included styling revisions and passenger foot pegs in 1977, and the addition of CDI ignition in 1980.
