Vehicle Information
Kawasaki KE175 Motorcycle - Dual-Sport (1976-1983)
The Kawasaki KE175, a popular trail bike, was produced from 1976 to 1983. This versatile motorcycle was powered by a single-cylinder, two-stroke engine, consistently around 174-175 cc, offering a balance of performance and reliability for off-road enthusiasts. A significant change occurred in 1980 with the introduction of the D-series. Earlier B-series models (1976-1979) featured a rotary-valve engine, while the D-series (1980-1983) switched to a reed-valve piston port design, also forming the basis for the KDX175. Other updates included styling revisions and passenger foot pegs in 1977, and the addition of CDI ignition in 1980. The transmission was a 6-speed in 1976, transitioning to a 5-speed from 1979 onwards. Horsepower figures varied slightly across the years, generally ranging from 16 to 17 hp. Q: Is this part compatible with my Kawasaki KE175?
