Suzuki SP 400 Motorcycle - Dual-Sport (1980)
The 1980 Suzuki SP 400 was a dual-purpose motorcycle that succeeded the SP370. It was powered by an air-cooled, single-cylinder, SOHC four-stroke engine with a displacement of 396 ccm. This engine featured a 36mm Mikuni carburetor and a 5-speed gearbox with chain drive. While it was available in color options such as Red, Blue, or Silver, there were no distinct 'trims' or versions offered for this model. The 1980 SP 400 itself represented a significant update from the SP370, featuring a larger and more powerful engine. Suzuki increased the cylinder bore from 85mm to 88mm to achieve this extra displacement, partly to help meet 1980 EPA standards.
