Vehicle Information
Yamaha DT80 Motorcycle - Dual-Sport (1981-1983)
The Yamaha DT80, produced from 1981 to 1983, is a versatile enduro motorcycle, known for its robustness and single-cylinder two-stroke engine. It was offered in various configurations to suit different markets and rider preferences, serving as both an off-road vehicle and a light road motorcycle. During this period, the DT80 series underwent significant evolution with the introduction of liquid-cooled (LC) models from 1982, which coexisted with the air-cooled (MX) versions. LC models offered more stable performance and a 6-speed gearbox. The DT80 LC2, an improved version, introduced a front disc brake and a Mikuni VM 20 SS carburetor, marking a significant technological break. Displacement variations (72cc to 79cc) also existed depending on the market. Q: How can I ensure parts fit my Yamaha DT80?
A: To guarantee compatibility, please use our year and trim selector on this page to find parts specific to your model.
